Quill Construction Ltd were awarded the works to create an extension on the Jo Richardson Community School in Dagenham Essex.

The works comprised of a single storey classroom extension providing two classrooms, sensory room, and office space to include foundations, below ground drainage, new building enclosure, flat roof construction, adaption of existing office to form a new entrance corridor.

To supply and fit new MEP services including small power, LED lighting, data, CCTV, school tannoy system, fire protection works, air conditioning including heating and cooling to all areas. Internal fit out, including new flooring, fixtures, and fittings.

Quill construction ltd were awarded a contract with Baily Garner to carry out a full refurbishment and repairs to a care home l in North London. The works included new flooring installations throughout the building as well as full redecoration. Bathroom had a full refurbishment including new sanitary ware, polysafe flooring and white rock to the walls. Insulation was installed to the loft to help upgrade the energy efficiency off the building. New heating controls were also installed to give the service users control over the comfort.

The external works included installing new cladding to the front window bays, roofing repairs and rebuilding the external boundary wall which had been damaged by the trees. Lastly the trees underwent pollarding to reduce the size and make more manageable.

Overall, this project was a great success and had lots of positive feedback from staffs and the client. It involved planning works around a fully occupied care home. Planning and communication meant the project ran smoothly and reduced the stress to the residents as best possible.

Dane Court

Quill was awarded a contract to carry out safeguarding at Dane court school. The value of the works was £500,000.00

The works consisted of clearing the existing fencing and shrubbery and then installing 2km of fencing around the perimeter of the school and playing field and also across the carpark and service area along with new gates and automation.

The fencing consisted of V mesh , palisade and wrought iron railings along with pedestrian gates and automated vehicle gates.

The works were carried on budget and within the programme.
